Campuestohan Highland Resort: An Enchanting Whimsical Wonderland

What do you want to do when you grow up? We’ve all heard this question a million times since we could start walking. Some figured it out at a young age and mapped out their next 40 years. Many had no clue, and others, like me, would never find the answer to this question. The thing is, I never wanted to grow up or have a typical career. That’s why I’m always on the move, hiking mountains and exploring whimsical places like Campuestohan Highland Resort.

While I may seem like a lost soul drifting in the vast sea of nothingness, this kind of life has never bothered me.

I never felt uncomfortable, useless, unfocused, and disconnected.

You see.

I’ve always been a freak, an outcast, a dreamer, and a social misfit.

I’ve never followed the timeline laid out by our society.

And I’ve never subscribed to the idea that people need careers to be successful and happy.

Campuestohan Highland Resort: An Enchanting Whimsical Wonderland

As I explored Campuestohan Highland Resort, I was reminded to keep living this unusual life.

With its whimsical sculptures and exhilarating activities, this wonderland brought out the inner child in me.

And it’s the kid who never wanted to grow up and gave the middle finger to society.

My experience at Campuestohan Highland Resort

The day started out bright and sunny.

Campuestohan Highland Resort: An Enchanting Whimsical Wonderland

From a historic church to modern developments, I discovered a plethora of mesmerizing places in Bacolod City.

Campuestohan Highland Resort: An Enchanting Whimsical Wonderland

Later, as we traveled from Bacolod City to Campuestohan, the sky turned gray and gloomy.

It seemed like a bad sign.

Nobody wants to see the quirky sculptures and experience the thrilling activities in Campuestohan on a rainy day.

Yet, I wasn’t bothered and worried.

In some way, this sudden shift in weather represents life – it’s freaking unpredictable.

One day, it’s sunny and bright, filled with butterflies, rainbows, and bunny rabbits.

The next day, it feels like a never-ending storm with heavy downpours and howling winds.

That’s one of the reasons why I never wanted to grow up and had plans in my life.

I want everything to be flexible so I can quickly adapt to any situation.

Soon after, we arrived at the gates of Campuestohan High Land Resort.

As I expected, it was a full house.

My tour guide and I waited inside the car as the guards accommodated the other tourists ahead of us.

After paying the Campuestohan Highland Resort entrance fee, we went inside and found a convenient parking spot.

The moment I stepped outside, I immediately felt the infectious, playful energy of Campuestohan Highland Resort.

The air was filled with laughter, joy, and love.

Campuestohan Highland Resort: An Enchanting Whimsical Wonderland

It was like I was transported to the 1990s, a bygone era when smartphones didn’t exist and people communicated sincerely.

As an introvert, I hated being surrounded by so many people.

I stay away from the crowds and avoid mainstream attractions.

Surprisingly, I was happy to see the crowds at Campuestohan High Land Resort.

I saw people living and loving life, free from the daily stress and pressures of modern life.

Perhaps, people are learning.

Maybe, people have found out that the secret to a happy life is not to be too obsessed with money and “important things.”

Here’s the thing.

Money must not be the number and end goal in our life.

Don’t get me wrong.

We need money to survive in this modern world.

But being in love with money can lead to an insatiable desire for more power and money.

And this often causes people to do horrible acts.

Ever wondered why so many politicians are corrupt? Well, there’s the answer to that question.

I always believed that we are already in heaven and we are born to enjoy the Universe’s grand creations.

If we are not here to savor the world’s beauty, then what the hell are we doing here?

Are we here to kill ourselves with productivity?

Are we here to work non-stop until we die?

We were born in this world with nothing, and we will leave this world with nothing.

So, don’t take life too seriously, and don’t work yourself to death.

The animatronics and quirky sights

I have the curiosity of a child.

And this has led me to many places across the archipelago, including Garin Farm, Mount Hamiguitan, and Buscalan.

This time, my child-like curiosity has led me to Campuestohan Highland Resort.

I was curious to see the giant animal and dinosaur sculptures, especially Gar, the tallest dino sculpture in Asia.

But I wasn’t expecting to see animatronics at Campuestohan Highland Resort.

Campuestohan Highland Resort: An Enchanting Whimsical Wonderland

I was blown away by these moving dinosaurs that were straight out of Jurassic Park.

And guess what?

They made some quirky sounds, too.

From there, we followed the concrete pathway to the wave pool and other Campuestohan activities.

Along the way, I saw an enormous chicken statue being constructed and the exciting Campuestohan rope course.

It was a wonderland, a fantasy world, and the stuff of childhood dreams.

Campuestohan Highland Resort: An Enchanting Whimsical Wonderland

Although it doesn’t look as celestial as Garin Farm, it’s heaven on earth.

Why can’t we spend more time visiting places like this?

Why can’t we make our lives as playful, heavenly, and whimsical as this?

The truth is, we are already in heaven.

We don’t need to wait for death to see the pearly gates of heaven.

We have enchanting forests, breathtaking mountains, crystal-clear blue lakes, gorgeous seas, otherworldly canyons, and sugar-white beaches.

But we stopped seeing the world as our classroom and playground because we grew up and became more occupied with the “important things”.

The moment you become busy with adult life, your inner child perishes.

The wave pool of Campuestohan Highland Resort

The wave pool is a highlight and one of the most popular Campuestohan Resort amenities.

Even though it was a little gloomy, the pool was filled with carefree children and adults.

Campuestohan Highland Resort: An Enchanting Whimsical Wonderland

In the background, I noticed a towering mountain – Mount Mandalagan.

The mountains have been my playground and source of knowledge and wisdom.

Campuestohan Highland Resort: An Enchanting Whimsical Wonderland

Every time I climb mountains, I’m like a child curious to see and learn new things.

The mountains revitalized me and satisfied my soul.

And my recent ankle injury has stopped me from doing the things I enjoy the most.

But instead of letting this misfortune get inside my head, I found other ways to satisfy my soul and keep my inner child happy.

I traveled, did some seeing, and discovered the cultures of the islands near my island.

I need to keep myself sane in a crazy world full of BS.

And these trips have energized me and kept me alive in these harsh times.

The whimsical animal sculptures

So far, my Campuestohan day tour had been an absolute blast.

Even with the gray clouds and dark skies, I enjoyed every minute of the trip.

Campuestohan Highland Resort: An Enchanting Whimsical Wonderland

After checking out the pool, I explored the area and admired the massive and whimsical sculptures.

I’ve seen so many Campuestohan Highland Resort photos highlighting these animal statues.

Campuestohan Highland Resort: An Enchanting Whimsical Wonderland

They’re pretty easy on the eyes.

I couldn’t resist snapping photos of these animals.

Campuestohan Highland Resort: An Enchanting Whimsical Wonderland

I know these animals aren’t real, but somehow, they remind me of how nature works.

I’ve spent a lot of time outdoors observing nature and the animals.

Sometimes, I wonder why we can’t be like the animals in the wild.

I mean.

These creatures spend the entire day playing and exploring their natural habitat.

They only think of finding shelter and food.

They don’t have to worry about taxes, bills, mortgages, relationships, and workplace issues.

We, on the other hand, kill ourselves with non-stop work because of our ambitions, greed, and restless pursuit of power and money.

We are constantly anxious, depressed, and miserable.

What happened to us humans?

Aren’t we supposed to be part of nature?

I guess this all happened because we ate the “Forbidden Fruit” in the Garden of Eden.

Maybe, the forbidden fruit gave us the knowledge to build empires, create civilizations, and invent out-this-world technologies.

But look at what this “knowledge” has done for us.

It has turned us into a power-hungry species that causes wars and destroys the paradise the Universe has created for them.

And guess what?

The Garden of Eden isn’t fictional.

It’s just sitting here – we just need to open our eyes, unleash our inner child, and explore places, like Campuestohan Highland Resort.

I’ve seen the Garden of Eden so many times, just because I live an unconventional life and I didn’t follow society’s standards.

Exploring the other Campuestohan activities and features

If you’re wondering what to do in Campuestohan Highland Resort, don’t worry.

While wandering around the resort, I learned that you’ll need more than a day to see everything.

Campuestohan Highland Resort: An Enchanting Whimsical Wonderland

From ziplines to a bunch of pools, there’s no shortage of Campuestohan activities.

Of course, there are plenty of pictorial spots for Campuestohan day tour visitors like me.

Campuestohan Highland Resort: An Enchanting Whimsical Wonderland

Campuestohan Highland Resort: An Enchanting Whimsical Wonderland

That means you don’t have to look for “hotels near Campuestohan Highland Resort” on Google.

I have yet to stay in any of their rooms, but they seem comfortable just by looking at them.

And there were so many spots to take pictures inside Campuestohan Highland Resort.

Campuestohan Highland Resort: An Enchanting Whimsical Wonderland

Heck, even their garbage bins are worth a snap.

Campuestohan Highland Resort: An Enchanting Whimsical Wonderland

I heard someone speaking my native tongue (Bisaya) say that even the garbage cans here are superb.

Well, it’s a world of whimsy and a place that melts all your stress and worries away.

At first, I thought Campuestohan Highland Resort was animal-themed.

Campuestohan Highland Resort: An Enchanting Whimsical Wonderland

But soon, I discovered it also had other exciting designs and sculptures, including a Dutch-like windmill and Atlas with the weight of the world on his shoulders.

Campuestohan Highland Resort: An Enchanting Whimsical Wonderland

After touring these Campuestohan hotel features and amenities, it was time for the main event of my trip: the dinosaurs.

Gar and his tenacious carnivore friend

One of the reasons I went on a spontaneous trip to Bacolod City was to see Gar.

At 120 feet tall, this brachiosaurus statue is said to be the tallest dinosaur constructed in Asia.

Campuestohan Highland Resort: An Enchanting Whimsical Wonderland

And boy, Gar was one gigantic dinosaur.

Campuestohan Highland Resort: An Enchanting Whimsical Wonderland

But Gar wasn’t alone.

There’s also another towering figure standing in front of him: an enormous T-Rex statue.

Campuestohan Highland Resort: An Enchanting Whimsical Wonderland

I visited Campuestohan Highland Resort to see these dinosaur sculptures and satisfy my inner child.

And I stayed there for a while because these dinosaurs brought back my childhood memories.

Campuestohan Highland Resort: An Enchanting Whimsical Wonderland

Then, flashes of a classic dinosaur movie came to mind.

And I’m not talking about Jurassic Park or Barney.

I’m talking about “The Land Before Time”, an animated movie that sparked my curiosity to explore the world.

Furthermore, it’s a movie that taught me so many valuable life lessons as a kid.

With their massive size, it was hard to capture a perfect photo of these giants.

Not to mention, there were a lot of people moving around the area.

I was in a state of bliss.

Some might say I’m absurd and an anomaly.

They would say I’m a freak, and they’re right.

I’m old and shouldn’t spend time admiring dinosaur sculptures and exploring this rural theme park resort.

They might say I should have spent my time being busy with the “important things” in life.

But when did happiness not become important?

And when did happiness not become a priority?

Do adults really have to grind it out every single freaking day?

We often believe in life after death.

But how about life after birth?

Shouldn’t we be living this life and world, too?

As I’ve said, heaven is not in our imaginations or a faraway galaxy where Luke Skywalker resides.

We only have one shot at enjoying the Garden of Eden. Make the most of your time here.

The wave pool and the largest mammoth in Asia

I thought my tour of Campuestohan Highland Resort was done.

I was wrong.

On our way to the parking lot, I saw other amenities inside Campuestohan Highland Resort.

Campuestohan Highland Resort: An Enchanting Whimsical Wonderland

There was a restaurant, a wave pool, a skybridge, a zipline, and a ton of cottages.

Campuestohan Highland Resort: An Enchanting Whimsical Wonderland

But the thing that caught my eye was the mammoth.

The resort claims that this sculpture is the largest mammoth statue in Asia.

Campuestohan Highland Resort: An Enchanting Whimsical Wonderland

I don’t have many opportunities to visit Campuestohan Highland Resort.

So, I took photos of this massive statue.

Then, we headed to the front gate to take a picture of the colorful and wonderfully quirky sign of  Campuestohan Highland Resort.

Afterward, we went to the parking lot to proceed with my Tri-City tour in Negros.

What’s next on my day trip?

Campuestohan Highland Resort: An Enchanting Whimsical Wonderland

It was The Ruins Bacolod, the Taj Mahal of the Philippines.

I was like a child eager to unravel the next page of the choose-your-adventure storybook.

The only thing missing here was an adult asking me what I want to become when I grow up.
