Monte Cueva: A Magnificent Cave Chapel In Maasin, Leyte
Exploring the magnificent Monte Cueva wasn’t part of my agenda, when I visited the city of Maasin last weekend. While I’ve already done my homework and read blogs about it, I really wasn’t expecting that I would have the chance to see the Monte Cueva de la Virgen Shrine in person. With so little time for fun and adventure, I thought I would be just dropping by Maasin to attend a novena, and head back to Cebu. Canigao Island: A Splendid Tropical Idyll In Matalom, Leyte
My life as an adventurer has been, for the past couple of months, a series of hikes and nature trips. From the unforgettable trek in Badian to my casual hikes in Buhisan, these recent outdoor trips have been nothing short of amazing and spectacular. And yet, for all the fun and excitement I’ve had with my recent hikes, I was still yearning for a healthy dose of Vitamin Sea. To make things even better, we were accompanied by their humorous cousin, Noel, who guided us to…

Mount Kan-irag: One Of The Most Scenic Lookouts In Cebu
Exploring the scenic Mount Kan-irag was an absolute treat, and the icing of the cake to our most recent weekend adventure. Although we took the easier trail from Ayala Heights, it was still a lovely bonus, capping off a breathtaking and heart-pumping trek in Mount Babag. With its awe-inspiring panoramic views and fresh mountain breeze, Mount Kan-irag was for me one of the highlights of our awesome barkada trip! So, how did we get there? After bidding farewell to Marky and the rest of the club in Chalet Hills, we took a habal-habal ride by pairs to Ayala Heights. Afterwards, we walked and talked for a few minutes within the…

Mount Babag: A Fun-filled Escapade With A Bunch Of New Friends
Metro Cebu, with its seemingly endless stream of traffic and relentless energy, can sometimes overwhelm the fittest and the mentally strongest people. And just like any busy Cebuano with a full-time job, I’ve been feeling a little burned out for the past couple of weeks, working ceaselessly on a variety of projects. Thankfully, though, Mount Babag and a few of travel buddies came to the rescue to help me stay sane and break the monotony of my daily grind. After our unforgettable Candongao Peak trek, me and my new crew couldn’t stop talking about our next outdoor adventure. From Mount Naupa to Mount Mago, there were plenty of suggestions and…
