Candongao Peak: Trekking Deep Into Cebu’s Surreal Highlands
Osmeña Peak has been, for years, the premier destination for people who want to go on a little nature trip in Cebu. Rising at 1,013 meters above sea level, O’Peak is, after all, the so-called highest mountain on the island, wowing visitors with its cool mountain breeze and awe-inspiring panorama of the countryside. But, there’s another majestic and pristine trail nearby that may soon give this Cebuano icon a run for its money – the less explored Candongao Peak. Celestial Garden: More Than Just A Holy Week Destination In Cebu
Celestial Garden, or also referred as the Good Shepherd, is truly a picturesque, majestic and sacred hub to solemnize Good Friday and participate in the “Way of the Cross” in Cebu. Famous for its religious white life-size statues, this 12-hectare memorial park brims with devotees who would reflect the passion and death of Jesus Christ during Lenten Season. There are even pictures of these paddies in some areas of the municipality, proving that it does exist. And I just can’t get it out off my mind, ever since…

Argao Adventure: Exploring The Mystical Balay Sa Agta and Bugasok Falls
The Philippine Mythology is, to me, a cultural treasure and a patchwork of inspiring tales. From the inhumanly strong Bernardo Caprio to the mountain goddess and her golden galleon in Argao, I’ve heard and read plenty of intriguing Philippine mythical stories that made my childhood pretty awesome. Not to mention, these tales kept me at bay, whenever I had an urge to wander at night around the neighborhood. But with the recent upsurge of social media and sci-fi films, the Philippine folklore is sadly becoming a lost art. Even though the Philippine Mythology is extremely fascinating, today’s youngsters just don’t know a lot about it, and would prefer to recount…
